Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon are married. From their union, they decide to found Maison Billecart-Salmon in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, the family’s home town. Subsequently, Nicolas François joined forces with Louis Salmon, his wife’s brother. He oversaw all the commercial activity whilst his brother-in-law, who was passionate about oenology, dedicated himself to the creation of the wines.

Lúuma started in 2016 as a joint project between the Mariani brothers of Scribe Winery and Matthew Plympton and Tom Hunter of Revel Wine. In bottlings released since then, Revel Wine has worked with John Harley & AJ Filipelli of INIZI Wines among others, with this Sauvignon Blanc being made by Alex Pomerantz of Subject to Change Wine. All of the wines in the lineup are made from organically grown grapes with minimal additions and manipulations with the goal of offering bright, honest and food friendly wines at an affordable price.
